The Hercules Tower is an old roman lighthouse that is on the peninsula about 2.4 kilometres from the center of A Couña, Galicia (hotels in Galicia). The name of Coruña comes from column. It is from the old Brigantium that it is in the Ártabro Gulf. It is said that Hercules cut Geryon head. After doing this he decided to build a tower where he burie Geryon underneath it.

The lighthouse is about 55 metres tall and it looks to the north of the Atlantic Ocean. It has about 1900 years of having been constructed but it was renovated in 1791. This rehablitation of Hercules tower was ordered by King Carlos IV. It was done by the renowned arquitect named Sergio Lupo. Today it is being used as a lighthouse again. Hercules´ Tower is the second tallest lighthouse in Spain. The first one is named Faro de Chipiona.

This lighthouse is very important because it is a place that spaniards consider to have a lot of history. If you would like to get to the top of this tower you will have to climb over 242 steps. The tower is divided into three parts. The higher you go the skinner it gets. As soon as people get to the top they usually admire the view and are glad that they climbed so many steps to get there.

If you would like to visit the hours are the following: between 10 in the morning to 5:45 in the afternoon from the first of Octover to the 31 of March it is open. In April, May, June and September the hours are from 10 in the morning to 6:45 in the afternoon. From the first of July to the 31 of August it is open from Monday to Thursday and Sundays from 10 in the morning to 8:45 at night. On Friday and

This is the perfect time to start thinking about your next trip to a Spanish beach. It might be the most perfect time to plan your next vacation because beaches in Spain are the ones that help you relax all day long.

One of the beaches you might want to go is in the Costa de Sol in Andalucia were there is a small place that is known as La Carihuela. To this place there are many cheap flights you could take especially if you want to get into somewhere else and then travel to the beach for a weekend. This place, La Carihuela, is a small, picturesque and very friendly place to go.

Here, in La Carihuela which is an old fishing town of Torremolinos little by little it has been changing throughout the years. There is one long street that goes through the whole town. Fisherment in the area still fish because it has become a tradition and is also a part of the town which means it is a tourst attraction. Nowadays there are many restaurants and bars that are right beside the beach. There you will surely find good and fresh seafood. The food is great and you will find great prices.

The beach is more than 2 kilometres long. People that usually do not take things that are for the beach will find that most things you will find at local stores that are selling them right there. One of the most famous restaurants is called “Chiringüitos” were the food is completely fresh.

When you are ultimately tired of the beach you might want to walk near the beach and see all the boutiques and small stores. There is no problem in getting into this specific beach because you can take a bus that goes from Torremolinos and then to the train that goes to Montemar Alto.

For many people going to a foreign country is something that they love for others they love the part about going to someplace else but they hate being a tourist in that area. I have finally found a perfect webpage were people are going to be able to speak like any other person in Lanzarote, Spain. We will ultimately help you to speak like a native even if you end up having a small accent.

flickr

The way of talking can change in each province because all the people might be speaking different languages, and therefore have some sayings that are different. For example saying “Fos,” means that something smells really bad. I bet that you never imagined that would something like that and I also bet that it will come in handy.

If you find yourself speaking with someone and they are saying that something has to be “founded” that means that you have to behave well or be responsible not have something that is based on.

Don´t get confused when someone says “No Way” because that means “Yes.” It is an affirmation of something being said. So, another thing you might want to know is if someone says “Bobomierda.” Well you can be assured that it is a bad thing, it is an insult. So, if you want to say “Bobomierda,” then go ahead but be aware that it might bring you some problems.

flickr

Good luck with these expressions that will surely bring you luck to understand and speak in the same way as people in Lanzarote do.

The island in Gran Canaria is one of the most beautiful one there is and one of the perks of this island is that the nightlife has a lot of things to offer. Life at night is one that makes people go crazy and it is the perfect place to be if you are looking for adventure and parties. Parties at night start in the late evening and can go on until the early hours of the morning. Restaurants do not close until late and the bars and nightclubs close very late as well. Each month in this island you will find different public events such as community parties and parades. This are filled with music and color. They are the perfect welcome present for people that are just arriving to the island.

The gay community is very wide and at night there are many clubs and bars that are perfect for the community. Everyone is welcome here at all times.

The capital of Gran Canaria is known as La Palma and it is the biggest city there is in that island. There you will be able to find bigger “fiestas” at all times because it is always filled with people that are looking to have a good time. The city of Puerto Rico which is also in the island Gran Canaria is perfect for families because it is much more calm. The restaurants and bars are fun but there is a family air that you will probably not see in the other cities of Gran Canaria. Gran Canaria has everything for everyone and there you will not be dissapointed on what you can find either for party with friends, your lover or with your family.

There are many different exhibitions to see especially the one were you can see birds flying from place to place over your hear. That is one great thing that you can do when you get there. There is also an exotic bird exhibition that you will not want to miss. In that exhibition you might end up finding parrots, tucans and other types of parrots.

Jungle Park is open all year round and since Tenerife is known as eternal sprintime then they do not close because the weather is always so nice. It opens at 10 in the morning and closes at 5:30 in the afternoon. The exhibition that are in the area are always open everyday but can change periodically.

In 1560 Philip the Second took a huge decision of transferring the capital to Madrid. This city was established next to another town known as Alcalá of Henares. This story is vague and unknown. The reason Madrid was chosen to be the new capital was because the climate was perfect. Madrid has only started to develop as a city in the last century. The Madrid that we know today is one that has been formed in the XX century especially after the Civil War when many neighborhoods started to change and more artists began to roam the streets.

Until 1802, Madrid was divided into 8 parts and then into 62 neighborhoods in which people would communicate between them. The population has been duplicated little by little were zones have slowly been dissapearing. Now, there are many towns that are connected to Madrid to a point that they could be called suburbs such as Caranacheles, Chamartín, Vallecas, Canillegas, Vicálcaro and the el Pardo.

Today every single type of house is in the same area, not any that is the same especially because there are many french, italian and manhattan type of influences that have started to slowly change the Spanish facade in Madrid.

Although, there are some parts that have changed there is still a rural Madrid that you can find if that is what you want. Therefore it is easy to escape the city and look for something more rural according to what you are feeling and wanting. It just depends on what the person wants or what they need because Madrid´s city life is one that many love and that might look like New York.

We have already commented on the importance of the paella in Spain. But we have not talked about the most typical, traditional and basic plate that families in Spain eat. The paella in old times was a plate that many poor people ate because it had rice and instead of all that seafood it had rabbit, chicken and duck, on occasion it might have had snails.

Today, the paella is one of the most famous and sought after platters that tourists from all over the world come to Spain to try. Normally every single place has a big paella and that is the one that is offered all day. But, you must be careful because if you want a paella that is done on the spot when you order it then you must ask if they do it the same day, that moment or maybe the day before. The best paella to have is the one that is done right when you order it.

The best place to eat a paella is were they sell lots of rice. In Valencia you find the best paellas in different restaurants. For example, Restaurant “El Forcat,” which is right next to the Serranos tower. In second plce we have the restaurant “La Pepica.” Next to the beach there is the Restaurant “La Alegría de la Huerta” which also has some really good paella. “La Marcelina” which was established in 1888 has a great paella that you might want to try. Last of all the “Rall.” Now, go try some.

Calatayud is located in te Zaragoza and Aragañón province. It is right next to the Jalóncerca river and the Sistema Ibérico mountains. It is the second largest city in this particular province. This municpality became democtratic in 1977. Many people stay in this place but you must remember that there are many more economic hotels in the nearby city of Barcelona.

Calatayud has a very important meaning to it´s name that is “Muy noble, leal siempre augusta y fidelisima ciudad de Calatayud.” Which means, “Very noble and faithful always the city of Calatayud.” With this many people are attracted to this city. In order to get there you might want to take the train AVE that goes from Madrid or Barcelona to Calatayud.

One of the most interesting things to see is the Aragón tower named Mudéjar. This tower as constructed in the 15th century and it is the bell tower in the Santa María church. Mudéjar is one of the most important things you are able to see in Calatayud.

Mudéjar means “domesticated” and this refers to the muslims that once lived there and converted all the people to the same religion. When there was a huge downfall in Granada in January of 1492 the Mudéjar was stilll upright and was the same religion.

The influences on the Mudéjar tower are roman, gothic and renaissance styles all mixed into one. This mixed influences give this tower a particular sight and this was done because of the different people that once lived there like the muslims, jews and christians. This is truly a ver interesting thing to come and see.
