Flamenco, a tradition in Spain
When people think of Spain they immediately think tapas, serrano ham, Barcelona and the famous traditional dance Flamenco. The Flamenco dance is one that is complex and is very ancient. In the region of Andalucía is were this beautiful and romantic dance is mainly concentrated in. But, Flamenco has managed to make itself known all over Spain and the world.

The Flamenco dance was created by a small town “El Andaluz” in which culture, tradition and history are all combined to form this graceful dance. Some people say that the gypsies were the ones that invented this dance and it is a controversy that has long been present in the country of Spain. While others argue that Flamenco is mainly danced in Andalucía. Therefore Flamenco is considered to be originated from the region of Andalucía. Many professional and famous dancers have been gypsies but there have been others that are are good and famous as them that have never been in contact with the gypsie culture. For example, Antonio Chacón, Ramón Montoya, Paco de Lucía and Fosforito.

If you ever decide to go and visit Spain, it is best that you go to the Andalucía region especially because it has so many interesting things to visit and see. It may turn out that you would like to take some flamenco classes for a couple of hours. Or you may like to have dinner and watch some Flamenco dancing while you eat. The dancing is not the whole show but the people strumming on their guitars melodies that are sad, happy, sexy, angry and other feelings that you can easily feel when hearing the music and looking at the dances.
