Madrid´s Museum of Natural Science
If you ever are in the area of Madrid, then surely you are able to go to the Museum of Natural Science in the Spanish capital of Madrid. There are many interesting things about this museum. For example there is an exact copy of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, also an exact replica of the Triceratops. That is only to name a couple, because in reality there are so many more dinosaurs you can see in this very cool and big museum. The hours of operation are from Tuesday to Friday from 10 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon. Saturdays they open from 10 in the morning and close at 8 P.M. Sundays and holidays they do open for a short time that start at 10 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon.

There are many permanent and temporary showrooms that are worth looking into. There is the Reptile display in which there are at least 55,000 reptiles that are showcased in this area. These reptiles are from Spain, Africa, Asia and North and South America. We can also find the Bird and Mammal displays. Here there are many from different parts of the world. For example there are elephants, giraffes and rhinos to see. In the bird display we can see different types of these from Spain´s different provinces.

The collection known as “Ictiología” is one that is very big and there are so many things to see that lives in the sea like fish, sharks and more.
“Entomología” has one of the best displays on insects that live in Spain and other places such as South America, Africa and Asia.

The section on Geology is very complete and there are at least 8,000 fossils and minerals that have been found in Spain and other areas such as México, Chile and Perú. Can you see that there are too many things to see and that you need at least one whole day to see this famous and beautiful museum. Good luck!
