Museums in Castellón

Castellón de la Plana has many things to offer for every tourist especially because of the amound of things people are able to see and do. First there is the “Museo de Bellas Artes” (Museum of Beauty Arts). This is located in an old 18th century building at the street named Caballeros. People  usually stay at the hotels in Oropesa or in Peñíscola.

This particular building was opened in 1980. There are many things to see and do and the best thing of all is that the rooms have different themes. For example, in the arquelogical zone there are also certain things from the Middle Ages. Where there are ceramics from the Onda, Ribesalbes and Alcora there are also more items from Manises and Teruel. You could also get to see paintings from Ribera, Ribalta, Romero de Torres, Rodrigo de Osona,, Sorolla, Mongrell, Puig Roda and Porcar. Don´t forget to see sculptures from Adsuara, Viciano, Gandarias, Benlliure and Vicenete

There is also another museum called the Ethnological Museum which was opened in 1983 and also has many traditional items that were used in order to make shoes an rope. The Ethnological Museum of Fadrell is pretty to look at as well especially because it has a wonder masterpiece of Castellón de la Plana.

Lastly most people that visit Castellón de la Plana also visit the Museum of the ConCathedral of Santa María because it is important to the Castellón de la Plana people´s it might be worth going in and looking at it´s paintings and their importance.
