Ribero Port: A place with history
One of the most beautiful places in Cantabria, a town in Spain, is located near the Limpias River. This town has had a lot of activities in it´s port especially because since the XIX century there have been ships that sailed toward America now known as North and South America.

During those times it was extremely important to export goods to different places around the world in order to boost the economy. From this wonderful port some of the products that were exported were Castilla wheat and limes. Nowadays it is unfortunate that this sepecific port does not have the same movement and activity it had before. There is only a small group of fishermen some that sell the fish and others that are simply aficionados.

If you ever find yourself near this town or visiting this town it is guaranteed that you will have a nice walk in the afternoon. Walking through this town there are very nice town plazas to sit and relax in, contemplate the beautiful and colorful houses there are and simply observe the nice views Cantabria has to offer. The Spanish Navy Park (Parque de la Armada Española) is located near there and it has some torpedos, canons, mines and other interesting things to see and observe while walking through this park. This place is truly remarkable and has a lot of history to be discovered. Never hestitate to visit if ever you are in the need to walk, relax and observe in this beautiful town the Ribero Port.
