Tibidabo, a place worth visiting
Tibidabo is one of the few places were it is worth visiting especially because it is so much fun. Tibidabo is located between two mountains in Barcelona, Spain. The name is a combination of latin words “tibi dabo” meaning this is what I will give you referring to the time that Jesus was in the mountain and the devil was tempting him.
In order to get to the top you must go on the Blue train or a bus. On this trip you pass three different stations called Mirablau, La Venta and Merbeyé. From the top of the mountain you are able to see the Tibidabo funicular and also be able to get on it. This was opened in 1901 and it has a trayectory of 1,152 metres.
From the top you are also able to view a little of Barcelona and see the Meditarranean Sea. The Tibidabo park has the sole purpose of making families have fun as well as couples and seniors. It has more than thirty attractions in an area of about 70,000 square metres. Each attraction has it´s name in the catalan language.
The Museu dels Autómates has a collection of mechanical dolls and objects. For example there is a red plane that is falling from the ceiling, it is a 1928 model. There is also a model of the Church of the Sacred Heart. Due to the Olympic games there is a Torre de Collserola which is 288 metres in height. There is really a lot worth seeing in Tibidabo.
There are many different neighborhoods in Tibidabo that everyone can visit. There is the Attractions neighborhood on your left side, the Pirate neighborhood, the Hurricane neighborhood. There are also spectacles that you can see with fireworks and lighted parades. If you are ever in the neighborhood in Barcelona make sure that you go to Tibidabo.
